Tazawako
WHO WE ARE

Hello,
We are Tazawako Onsen Coliving

We are reimagining a long-vacant hot spring inn as a base for digital nomads and remote workers — a place where focused work, outdoor adventure, and genuine community come together.

Guided by the principles of Regenerative Architecture, we are renovating this historic building with a shared kitchen, coworking lounge, and high-speed connectivity — while staying deeply connected to the onsen, mountains, lake, and local community that make Tazawako extraordinary.

THE SPACE

A mountain cabin with character.

A long-term stay base where remote work meets community living in the heart of nature — from 2 weeks to 6 months. Designed for digital nomads who seek outdoor adventure, local connection, and a creative community between work sessions.

This is not a simple renovation. Guided by Regenerative Architecture — a growing movement in Europe and North America — we are rebuilding using local timber, low-impact materials, and traditional Japanese Sakan plastering. The renovation itself is part of the story: we share it in real time and welcome volunteers, building a community of fans before we even open.

6 private rooms (5 double/twin + 1 single), two natural hot springs, high-speed Wi-Fi, dedicated coworking spaces, and a shared kitchen and lounge designed for connection. Community dinners, weekly meetups, and local events bring residents and neighbours together. Discounts for entrepreneurs and freelancers ensure a creative, motivated crowd.
